Hi, I’m Eyal 👋

Senior Product Manager at GitHub based in San Diego.
I build and scale 0 to 1 products and self-serve platforms, focused on customer-first execution, operational reliability, and measurable impact.

🛠️ What I’m Building

I design and ship custom Lovelace cards and integrations for Home Assistant.

Problem: Native timer UIs were rigid and hard to integrate into custom dashboards.
Solution: A flexible Lovelace card with multiple display modes and MQTT sync for multi-device setups.

Problem: After Google Photos API changes deprecated existing integrations, displaying curated albums in Home Assistant became unreliable or unsupported.
Solution: A lightweight slideshow integration restoring album display with reliable performance and flexible configuration.

Problem: Managing shopping lists required switching views and added dashboard friction.
Solution: A streamlined Lovelace card for fast, dashboard-native list management.

Problem: Hatch Rest devices lacked native control inside Home Assistant dashboards.
Solution: A custom Lovelace controller enabling unified control and automation.

🧠 How I Approach Product

  • Customer first. Work backwards from real user problems.
  • Clear outcomes and measurable impact.
  • Instrumentation before scaling.
  • Close collaboration with engineering.
  • Documentation that is structured and executable.
