New worktree always creates a new branch and does not open the selected branch in a new worktree

I am not sure if this is something I am just missing or doing wrong in the app, but whenever I open a new thread and select "New Worktree" then select the From branch, it always creates a new branch off of that selected branch with the t3code prefix then opens the work tree on that branch and never just opens the selected branch in the new Worktree. Is there something I am missing or is this not supported yet?

It works as expected, but i can see a case where we'd want to support "Worktree" as well as "New worktree".

One thing I'll add is if the branch is already on a worktree you can just select it when in "local" mode

Yeah that would be a nice to have feature, I was checking out a branch from Github and it ended up just creating a new branch in the "New Worktree". I can still work around and make the git worktree myself manually but it would be a nice workflow to include.

yeah, one thing missing for me from codex app was the ability to run new threads from an existing worktree. I could help with implementation if needed
