GIFs are replaced with static images in published pages #1151

Some (but not all) GIFs are replaced with static images. For example, the beam animations like below are animated in the GitBook editor but static in our published pages. This issue is new at least since this page was published, and occurs on other pages as well. finished_with-blocker.mp4I've uploaded the video here becuase the GIF is too large for GitHub, but I'm happy to share the GIF in some other way if that would be helpful. This a showstopping bug, since GitBook (shockingly) still does not support modern video tags. |

@gregberge does GitBook prefer webp and/or AVIF for animated images? I tried those formats in the past but I recall not being satisfied with their support/performance compared to GIFs. |
