How to install for contribution

Hello,

I want to create a contribution file describing how to install and start the project on your local computer.
But I am not sure if you are using uv or hatch for installing and stuff.

If you are using hatch, why won't we move to uv and pyproject.toml?

There’s already a pyproject.toml file, so you can run pip install -e . like most python projects.

There is also a hatch config file, which tells us that develoment tasks are done using hatch.
And we can see in the config that uv is also used!

(hatch is an environment manager and task runner, uv an installer, so they are not in opposition but complementary)

I have ran uv pip install -e ., and it doesn't work.
When I run:
ulid it returns:

ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'typing_extensions'

Even so, I still think that there should be a document describing for new developers how to set up the project.

Looks like a packaging error: missing dependency on typing-extensions (for some Python version)
