numerous install errors

Hi , because I reported issue #207 , I installed python 3.13.10 instead. The installer proceeded but then I got the following errors. I'm on MacOS 26.2 using a Mac Mini M4 Pro.

Wow. You are running into problems. This is a result of out-to-date SSL certificates being installed on your system (nothing to do with PhotoMap actually).

Are you familiar with the Python virtual environment system? If so, activate the virtual environment created by the installer and then give this command:

pip install --upgrade certifi

This will update your certificates so that the installer can fetch the CLIP model file that it needs.

If this sounds like greek to you, let me know and I'll give you a more step-by-step.

I'm familiar with virtual environments. ill give it a shot later today. I believe you also need to revise your docker command and I also needed to start revising that because it didn't contain "run" in the sample command so docker is clueless about "-p" :-)

However, if the certs are way out of date on my system globally for python or anything else, It would be best if I updated them everywhere. That being said, ill try first with the virtual env.

so I tried to follow your suggestion:

• create a python virtual env - no problem
• upgrade pip first, no problem
• run the upgrade certifi , no problem
• copy the unpacked install files I already had into the new root folder and run the linux/mac installer, select the default location , allow it to remove the existing folder and start again... same mess .... did you need me to try installing it INTO the same root where I put the unpacked install files?

ok I've run the "Install Certificates.command" from the Python 3.13 application folder and it looks like I should be good... one moment

ok too good to be true. using Chrome and starting to index then when the map comes up "127.0.0.1:8050 says" failed to add new slide: HTTP error! status 422

Alright that worked. allow popups and insecure content . I have the images in grid view. now I'll see if i can follow instructions to review images for LORA use case

im just trying to exclude a single image as an example, so I activate click to exclude, try clicking on the one image, but the excluded image number doesn't increase... that's kindof how the manual reads. not sure where im going wrong

I don't see anything that mentions "select training set" - I assume you mean "select images"

Scenario B: Generating a Training Set
Clear any previous selections (keep exclusions if you identified garbage in Scenario A).
Set Target Count to your desired training size (e.g., 150).
Set Iterations to 20.
Click Select Training Set.
Review the selection. If you see images you don't want in your training set, Exclude them and run Select Images again to replace them with fresh alternatives.
Repeat as needed.
