Description
Version placement on UI
FNF team has requested the version number display on the UI. The goal was to capture the version on screen captures the users include when reporting issues. The version number needs to be visible on all screens but not interfere with the flow or interaction, or be distracting to the user.
In addition, we should include the version and other relevant details about RHELAI in the About screen using the PatternFly About Modal Guidelines. Provide access to the about modal using a help icon in the application masthead. Clicking the help icon will launch a dropdown menu. The help menu should always include an option labeled "About" that launches the about modal.
Place version number on bottom of left navigation
- Ideal placement from a layout and user perspective since it does not interfere with any of the other UI elements.
- Disappears from view if user hides the navigation.
Place version number on bottom of content space
- Does not interfere with any of the other UI elements and appears in any full screen captures.
