LocSim Sometimes Turning Off

This phone is on iOS 16.4.1, sometimes the LocSim stays on consistently, but other times I set it and when I check back later it has been turned off. Would that have anything to do with changing WiFi networks? I've noticed it happening more when I go to a specific location, where I do have access to the WiFi.

Everything else about Geranium works great though, really appreciate your work!

Hi,

This is a normal behaviour from iOS.
Sometimes it resets.
I haven’t yet studied the behaviour, but I guess this could be made consistent by adding a background service or something similar (if you really need it).

I have pretty paranoid/controlling parents and a consistent LocSim would be quite helpful since they record my movements and location through an app constantly.

I'll have a look then-
My idea was to make it available through shortcuts (so you can run it as an automation) ; but since I don't use trollstore anymore, I don't really know if it's possible nor how I could test it.

For testing would just leaving the location simulator on for a long period of time work? I could test it on my end too.

This is what got me caught sneaking out in the city 🙏, unfortunately iOS didn't keep the LocSim active ahahahha my mum was right pissed
